B FIT RUNNERS CLINIC

BEGINS MARCH 10, 2012

Our running program will build your endurance and strength and have you ready and training for upcoming  5k, 10 miler, and 13.2 programs or just running for fitness. This program is for all levels of runners (first-timers, beginners, and intermediates!)

The spring 8 week session starts March 10 and continues though May 12 (no clinic 3/17 and 4/14.)

NEW- For the spring we will be offering 2 different sessions depending on your goals.

At 7:30am we will hold a Long Distance Clinic. This is for the runner who is training for a spring 1/2 marathon, or Board Street Run, or just wants to increase and strengthen their distance running. We will work up to 9-10 miles by the end of the session.

At 9am our Beginner/5k session begins. This is for any person interested in learning to run or for a seasoned runner who would like to to make their 5k distance faster and stronger.  The participant will work up to 3.1 miles, and the ablility to run in a 5k race at the end of the session.

We meet at Cooper River Park in Cherry Hill (the running track parking lot near the boathouse).

Weekly group training sessions including:

  • Group runs at 7:30 & 9:00 am on Saturdays ranging from beginner to 10 miles, with options to add additional distance if desired.  You will be matched up with other runners that run at your current or desired pace.
  • After group runs, we will hold a 15 minute session consisting of conditioning, drills, and education on improving your runs.

The program also includes 2 -3 runs per week (depending on your fitness level and goals) which will be on your own. (or with any of the score of new running buddies you can rope into an after work run).  You will be given a personalized running/training schedule to follow during your weekly workouts. You are not required to attend all group training dates, but do need to stay on schedule.

Cost: $75 for new runners/ $65 for returning B Fit Runners for the 8 week program or $10.00 for drop in rate. This includes the training program and individual training from Brandi, an organized weekly group runs, and snacks and water at all group runs. This does not include your entry fees to races.

Open to EVERYONE and ALL SKILL LEVELS and jogging strollers are welcome. Make ups sessions will be scheduled for heavy rain or excessive heat days.

Broad Street Run 2011My husband and I never ran more than 1 mile in our entire life. With Brandi’s  running program we went from 0 mile to running the Broad Street 10 miler @ 10 mins 30 sec per mile. Time wasn’t our priority but running the 10 miles without stopping was, and We Did It, thanks to Brandi’s techniques, support and expertise. Runners for life! – Nancy and Elvin
