Welcome to B Fit Bits!
I am so excited to start blogging and
sharing my “bits” of information for you to read and share! A little about me,
my name is Brandi and I am a wife and mom of 2 girls! I have always loved being
active, but fell into fitness as a career.
I started teaching fitness classes (think early 90s spandex leotards) while in college and thought it was a great
way to make money, stay fit, and have a free gym membership. I always thought
that after college, when I got a full time job, I would stop teaching, but
instead the opposite happened. I would work my 9-5 desk job, and then head to the
gym to teach my classes and train clients. I started to realize that something
was missing from my life. The joy I felt from helping people reach their fitness
goals I was not feeling from my boring government analyst day job. So with my
hubby’s help, I took a leap of faith and left my job to make my hobby a career.
I can’t say it has been an easy journey, but I get to help people become happy
and healthier. Not to mention, I get to spend more time with my two daughters.
What does this have to do with creating a blog? Since graduating college as a history major, I
have always loved to research and write. In the past, I have written fitness
articles for a local parent’s magazine and currently I am a weekly fitness
contributor for www.activewomom.com website. A couple of years ago I didn’t know what a
blog was or why someone would want to read one, fast forward to today and I am launching
mine! I hope to send you some inspiration, motivation, and a bit of information
to take with you for your day. I feel living
fit should be fun and hope you will have fun checking in often to read this!
